Brown County, South Dakota

Brown County is located in northeast South Dakota. It is named for Alfred Brown, a territorial legislator from 1879.
The seat and the largest city are both Aberdeen. By population, the county is the fourth largest in South Dakota. Main highways through the county include US-12, US-281, SD-10 and SD-37.
It borders Marshall, Day, Spink, Faulk, Edmunds and McPherson Counties in South Dakota, as well as Dickey and Sargant Counties in North Dakota.
